Review 1:

I really needed to get myself a TV stand that is big enough for my 61” TV. Finally, I decided to get this one, though I searched every online store selling such products. And I’m glad I got the Techcraft. It is just great; the black tempered glass combined with the metal is awesome. Looks really good.

You probably know that Wall-mart has similar items but they are inferior and look much cheaper if compared to the Techcraft TV stand. As for Best Buy, they do have some good looking TV stands, but they are twice as expensive if not more. It’s true, there are also items that cost somewhere between 299 and 600 dollars. But this TV stand I got still looks better than those and besides, it is a bit bigger. There was a very cheap particle board TV stand that Ikea was selling, but that particular model could not be delivered. But I don’t care, my Techcraft TV stand, this one that I got, is worth it, I’m really satisfied with it.

There’s one thing you should know if you go pick up the TV stand yourself. IT IS HEAVY. One single guy could barely handle it. Ask a friend to help you carry it and, why not assemble it, too. Don’t worry, it’s really not hard to put it together, this is just for the sake of a proper alignment. And yes, the instructions are quite clear. I came to the conclusion that it would be best to build out the frame of the TV stand, that is the metal frame, settle it where you want your TV to be and finally put on the glass. This way things will be easier to handle.

When you order the TV stand, tell them to check it out for scratches and be careful with its handling. You really don’t want to have a brand new scratched TV stand. Mine was a bit dented but, fortunately, in an area that was not visible. I must confess I wouldn’t have been very happy if I had to actually see a scratch every time I turned on the TV. But well, the conclusion is that I’m very pleased with my TV stand, it’s what I expected it to be, and I think the price is right.

I’m not sure this LCD TV stand furniture suits the rest of my living room’s décor, but anyway, I saw it and liked it a lot. My 52” inch TV looks really great on it. Yes, you heard well, I have a 52” TV however I bought the 60” television stand and this was only from security reasons. I don’t want to move with great care every time I have to do something around the TV stand. It is more likely to reduce the “chances” of knocking over the TV with a careless move.

As other people have already stated, this particular TV stand is quite heavy. But the significant weight doesn’t come from the frame in itself, but from the three shelves of thick glass. It might take some time to put the TV stand together, but you can listen to music or watch TV while you do it and it will be just fine. I didn’t have any unpleasant surprises with the separate elements of the TV stand which lined up perfectly and easily. If you put it right on the hardwood floor, you might want to add a few felt pads on the feet of the TV stand. Later, they will help you move the stand much easier without scratching the floor.

The glass shelves are not anchored onto the actual stand in any way. However, there are some rubbery adhesive nubs which are quite enough to keep the glass shelves in place. They won’t fall onto the floor and break, even if you haven’t yet installed the TV on the TV stand.

As opposed to other opinions, I’m quite glad there are no doors on this TV stand. Had there been doors, it would have been much more difficult to assemble the TV stand, not to mention that it would have been harder for me to dust it. I love it because it’s very simple and smooth.

There are people who complain that kids can easily stick their hands where they don’t belong because this TV stand has no doors. It’s probably true, but those who have kids should think about this shortcoming before buying the item instead of installing it in their homes and then realize the obvious. And anyway, the glass shelves are tempered so even if they break, they won’t hurt anyone. If someone hit and broke the glass by mistake, the TV will probably be the most “hurt” because it would fall onto the floor and could deteriorate.

I must say again how much I like the lack of sophistication of this particular TV stand. It would look absolutely great if all the equipment was black like the stand itself, but it’s fine anyway. I should probably buy new equipment to go with my new TV stand.

All in all, this TV stand is a wonderful choice to make, it won’t give you headaches while assembling it, the price is right, and the look is smooth and lustrous. If you have boisterous kids who could knock the TV over you should, however, be very careful or simply go for another kind of TV stand as this one won’t give you the possibility to anchor the TV to the actual stand. This is not my case, so I can say I’m really glad I opted for this Techcraft TV stand. Simple, inexpensive, functional, the works.

I looked around for quite a while for the most appropriate TV stand to suit my expectations. I didn’t want to get one of those particle board TV furniture stands. They wouldn’t have fit in my room so I excluded them from the very beginning. On the contrary, a TV stand made of metal and glass seemed perfect. In the end, I decided to get the Techcraft stand because it looked sturdy and looked great. Now I have it and I still feel the same way. Did I say it was sturdy? Yes. Well, there are lots of fasteners to keep it together which might take longer to assemble. The shelves are made of tempered, black glass which actually looks really modern and stylish. Another great aspect is that the Techcraft TV stand can be placed in any location you choose as it comes with leveling feet. I couldn’t have been happier with a different choice.

This TV stand is exactly as I thought it would be. My entire equipment fit in just fine, my LCD looks absolutely great on it. It is rock solid, the combination between glass and metal is awesome and it sells for a good price.

Apart from its unbeatable price, I was very relieved to find out that the shipping is free. The TV stand is truly heavy so you can imagine how much the shipping would have cost me. Wow!
